WHAT IS HOLISTIC HEALTH COACHING?

Nutritional guidance through a holistic lens. 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We sit down for a 50 minute session twice per month. I send you home with 3 pieces of homework to work on between each session. The purpose of this method is to build small sustainable habits that you can maintain for the rest of your life. When we talk, we dig deep to get to the root cause of any health problems or struggles you are having to create long-term sustainable solutions. 

WHY IS IT A 6-MONTH COMMITMENT?

I have found this to be the best time frame to help guide people through building sustainable habits. This also gives us enough time to run into the many life events that tend to “de-rail” people’s healthy behaviors. I want to help guide you through the process of figuring out how to maintain these healthy habits during small and large life events. The key to something being sustainable is that it can be maintained through the rest of your life. 6 months gives us enough time to encounter both small and large life events that may have otherwise derailed your progress. WIth guidance from me, you learn to navigate the ups and downs of life while maintaining a strong baseline of skills.

WILL I LOSE WEIGHT? WILL I GAIN WEIGHT?

This depends on who you are and whether you are currently above or below your set point weight. Your body has a natural weight range that it likes to stay at. I say range because everyone goes up and down a few pounds throughout the day, women’s weight will fluctuate around the time of their menstrual cycle and most people have some sort of weight fluctuation seasonally. 

If you are a chronic restrictive dieter and you are forcing your body to stay below your set point weight, (have you lost a lot of weight? Have you lost your period? Do you consistently eat below 1700 calories?) then you may gain a few pounds.

If you are a chronic binge eater then you are probably consuming more calories than your body needs and thus you are forcing your body above your set point weight, then you will probably lose some weight.
